Hollywood 4WRD Special Member Event on 10/29 -- ULA: 3 Years In - Housing Leaders Discuss the Impact of LA’s “Mansion Tax''

Three years after voters approved Los Angeles’ “Mansion Tax” (Measure ULA), the city is still grappling with its impact. The measure, enacted in April 2023, levies a 4% tax on property sales between $5 million and $10 million, and 5.5% on sales above $10 million. It has generated unprecedented municipal revenue for affordable housing and homelessness prevention — but has also raised questions about slowed housing production, transparency in spending, and unintended effects on the real estate market.

On Wednesday, October 29 (4–6:30 pm at Barnsdall Gallery Theatre), Hollywood 4WRD — a coalition of more than 200 community organizations, civic leaders, and service providers driving local solutions to homelessness — will convene a panel of housing leaders to ask: What progress has Measure ULA made and where should we go from here?
