Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and LAPD Hollywood Division and the community were on hand to help celebrate the opening of Soul Restaurant & Bar with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located in the historic building at 7046 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood’s newest culinary venue offers its patron a modern experience with twist on Southern Hospitality.
A member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and Hollywood, the ribbon-cutting was held prior to the Chamber's Business After Hours on January 30th generously hosted by Soul Restaurant & Bar. The laid-back eatery was designed to allow the feel-perfect venue for brunch at eleven, a classic golden-glow happy hour bar with great appetizers in the afternoon and then slowly morph into a swanky restaurant and bar at night. A bit of glamor, warmth and honesty that is laid back but still dressed to impress.
With two entrances from Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Street, Soul welcomes you to an inviting and perfectly lit décor, high chairs, a bar that stretches along the space, 1600-SF mezzanine level, and a VIP area for special occasions. In the state-of-the-art kitchen, for Chef and Owner Yealang Smith, Soul Restaurant & Bar is a dream come true with hard work and lots of patience.
From sandwiches, specialties, garden platters, flatbreads and more, SOUL Restaurant & Bar is currently offering its patrons the experience of the best California-style Soul food in Los Angeles. Executive Chef Giulian Jones has devised an inventive approach to both lunch and dinner menu using seasonal ingredients, unique spices, and flavor profiles from international influences.
SOUL specialties include home-fried organic chicken, smoked BBQ Platter, fried Catfish with Remoulade sauce, and creamy cast-iron Mac-n-Cheese with crispy Bacon.
SOUL sandwiches on the menu are served with Truffle French Fries and include such options as the Louisiana Hot Chicken Fried Spicy and Sweet served with Apple Cabbage slaw, BBQ Brisket with Carolina BBQ sauce, and Soul Sliders.
They also offer small bites of Smoked Trout, a platter of Oysters Champagne mignonette, or Soul’s must-order Sweet Buttermilk Cornbread with sweet corn served with serrano honey butter.
Their garden salad menu offers a diverse variety of dishes such as the Little Gem Salad, Dino Kale Salad, Jerk Chicken Cobb Salad, Wedge Salad with smoked bacon, and their version of Beet Burger house-blended roasted purple beets, black beans, brown rice, lettuce and beefsteak tomato, with 7-seed bun, fennel apple slaw, and of course with their special housemade rhubarb ketchup.

The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere also has planned weekly special discounts as well as live music events to feed your Soul.
