2025 Entertainment Industry Conference - Presented by Variety
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce proudly presents the 2025 Entertainment Industry Conference, Looking Ahead: Driving Future Momentum for the Entertainment Industry. This event will bring together entertainment executives, business leaders, and community stakeholders to explore how the landscape of entertainment is shifting amid restructuring media conglomerates and evolving audience viewing habits. A panel of executives across production, entertainment, media, and licensing will discuss how storytellers can navigate this terrain and break through to captivate audiences, moderated by Michael Schneider, Executive Editor, TV at Variety. As always, the program will include breakfast, a film production report from FilmLA, a keynote from creator Michelle Khare, Youtube's Daredevil, with Variety's Deputy Awards & Features Editor, Jenelle Riley. Our prestigious 2025 Commitment to California Award honorees are Drew Goddard, Creator & Executive Producer, “High Potential” and Founder, Goddard Textiles, Sarah Esberg, Executive Producer, “High Potential” and President, Goddard Textiles, and Abe Sylvia, Creator, Showrunner, Director, & Executive Producer, "Palm Royale," whose work has kept production in California. Sylvia will be presented the award by Actor Josh Lucas.
Current panelists include Jesse Ehrman, President of Development & Production at Warner Bros. Pictures, Melissa Aouate, President at Blumhouse Television, Rena Ronson, Partner & Head of UTA Independent Film Group at UTA, Jermaine Johnson, Partner at 3 Arts Entertainment, and Lisa Holme, Head of Content at Roku Media.
